Chase is the second boy to join the Aurora pack. He was whelped on February 26, 2005. His sire is Can/Am Ch. Vanderbilt's High Regard and his dam is BISS Ch. Wolf River's Moonrise WS. Chase comes to us from breeder and co-owner Kay Hallberg of Wolf River Samoyeds in Wisconsin.

We waited a long time for Chase. His dam first had a litter of one, a girl. Kay decided to repeat the breeding and Moonrise had a litter of 4 boys and 2 girls. We are very thankful that there were so many nice looking boys in the second litter!

Chase is a loving and playful member of our pack. He loves to steal toys from the other dogs, and thinks chasing and being chased is the best thing in the world. He encourages his pack-brothers to knock him over and grind dirt and grass into his fur. We call him Pig-Pen for his knack for getting dirty, no matter when he had his last bath. Chase loves to cuddle and spend alone time with his humans, too.

His dam, Moonrise, was several weeks along in her pregnacy when she won Best of Breed at the Samoyed Association of Madison Specialty. With this kind of beginning, he has no choice but to follow in his mother's paw prints! Chase is growing into a splendid specimen of the breed and is a great compliment to our pack.
